The ins and outs of working for the AAMS: for those who might be interested. reasons to work for AAMS
1) Reknown - being a proven member of the The Messengers will get you into places and events all across Azeroth. We are known as diplomats, negotiators, and agents provocateurs. We're also just darn fun to be around.
2) Danger - We are tasked with delivering odd items to odd places often. (ask me about delivering the kitten to the core some time....). Either way, it can often be quite the adventure. Also, AAMS does not shy away from violence where required. Just because we're neutral doesnt mean we're weak. You are free to defend your homes, protect yourself, and attend to those duties we all have in life (or unlife). When we fight, we do it with class and honor. We don't PVP-raid and we don't go looking for trouble.
3) Neutrality - AAMS has never, will never, and cannot take sides. Hence, faction fighting tends to pass us by. This allows us to converse with most anyone.
4) Knowledge - we Know Things, it's part and parcel of carrying information. but we NEVER sell out. EVER. Our rep is based on our discretion.
5) Tips - Folks need a service, we can provide it, with style. People are willing to drop a little coin our way for that. Not a lot, but enough to keep us in grog. YAR! GROG! (or Foggerhead, or whatever your poison is....those Dried King Shrooms aint cheap ya know...)
6) Fun - when you really get into it, this can be an insanely fun job, think of it as a never-ending quest chain.
7) People - You meet some real characters in this line of work. This is one of the most RP intensive things you can do.
8) Service - By working for AAMS you're not only having an adventure, meeting people, and putting a little coin in your pocket, you're serving a purpose larger than yourself. You're being a real peacemaker. Instead of wailing about how "we all need to work together" and "stop the violence, waily waily woe and panic", you will be actively working to bring the factions together, increase understanding between conflicting parties, resolve differences, and identify potential threats to the safety of Azeroth as a whole before they can become serious dangers. We have an Agenda -- but it's not petty, self oriented, or concerned with such ephemeral things as "power" or "fame". Our agenda is the greater success of civilization on Azeroth. We work small to succeed big. This means we also sometimes do things that are kind of peculiar to tohers because we are focused very much on the "big picture", and we place our AAMS ethical code above EVERYTHING.
9) Allies - AAMS considers itself allied with the following Guilds and Companies: Da Doctas, The Freelancers, Sin After Sin, The Timeless, and Stormwind Intelligence. We have contacts among the M.H.A. as well.
10) Enemies - AAMS is at odds with, or on actively bad terms with the following guilds and/or companies: Goblins, but only economically speaking. We will take jobs from, but do not particularly like Modas Il Toralar (this is in flux at the moment...) or Lluchddu Ocheliad. Any Public job involving Gentyl or Souleater incurrs an automatic "this IS going to go horribly wrong isn't it??" fee. (This fee does not apply to discreet shipments)
10.5) Cool. c'mon. you know its cool.
whats involved in working for AAMS
1) Work comes first. Seeing as how there will be more than just two of us now, we should be able to get done, or arrange to get done, deliveries with MUCH less lag or downtime. If we get a contract, our first prioroty should be getting it taken care of, either by by the contractee, or by some other member of the AAMS, as soon as possible. We will have a once-weekly meeting to determine any outstanding delivery contracts, and to ensure that all letters and packages are delivered with all ue attention and dispatch.
2) Deliveries, when possible, should always be tended to IN PERSON. Granted, for a while, this may be difficult when sending things to the Alliance, but we'll get there.
3) When fellow AAMS members ask for help - Give it. Messengers must be tough, we go many dangerous places. So at least one day a week will be given over to the advancement of our younger members. This will most likely co-incide with our weekly meetings. Day to be determined.
4) Businesses require capital, so we'll also make an effort to, one other day a week, get the older members of AAMS into small dungeons to better equip our staff. (i.e. once a week raid something like DM, Scholo, or strat/ubrs...never more than a 5 man run) This will not be on the days when we are busy with our junion members. All told, it's a1-2 hour, 2 days a week comittment, not counting time spent delivering during the week. ((I want to try and keep this as casual as possible, while still getting decent things for those in it)).
5) ((Due to the nature of the guild, all guild members are actively encouraged to have an alliance alt. it's not required, but believe me, it helps.))
I am still getting the charter signed, I'm halfway there, and expect to be done this week. Any who wish to join, please track down Plainswander in-game.

GuildPortal Change Log Entry
Jan 1, 09 2:16 PM
Just a heads up: due to request, we will be moving back toward integration with WoW in-game roster information via an Add-On, instead of directly connecting to the armory. This will require uploading a saved variables file (instructions will be given) to update your roster info. However, there are many benefits. For one, rank names will again show (instead of just numbers), the add-on also supports uploading to even follow-ups so that you don't have to manually enter drops, and more functionality can be added as we go. Just want to give some notice before it happens, within the next couple days. This will not be the same add-on we used to run, but a new one. More details will follow!

Fixing up some ContentTable css rules, so that if custom stylesheets do not specify a width, it is added automatically. The ContentTable is a relatively new class, and represents tabular, or grid-like, content within content boxes.
